How You Can Help in the Gulf Oil Spill Clean Up

Posted on 02. Jun, 2010 by admin in Uncategorized

We held our breath, as I am sure many of you did, to see if the method BP was using to stop the oil flow was working. Tears came to my eyes when I found out it hadn’t.

Our homebase and offices are in Florida – on the Eastern shore, but the oil affects us all the same. I am not just talking about the prices of things going up, but really the long term damage to our shorelines – and not just on the Gulf either. They have foreshadowed concerns about the oil moving around the end of Florida and affecting Eastern Shorelines as well.

And just like many of customers, we’re outdoor people, too. We enjoy fishing and boating. We have fun finding new trails to ride our Trikkes. We love taking trips to find and explore new places to enjoy.

Here’s How We’re Helping with Gulf Oil Spill Cleanup, and we hope that you will help too:

Haircut … Get your hair cut with a participating salon like HairCuttery. The hair is going to be used to make mats to clean up the hair.

Make A Donation … to organizations like Audubon who are directly involved with animal rescue and cleaning , shoreline clean up, etc.

Make A Purchase … from brands and companies that are allocating donations to the causes.

My hair is already on the way to the Gulf. So that just leaves some support and donations. For the month of June we will donate 2% of our total revenue from all our online stores to help in the Gulf Recovery and Clean Up.
