Gulf Oil Spill Supplies Donations

Posted on 04. Jun, 2010 by in Uncategorized

We want to help non-profit organizations who are involved in the Gulf Oil Spill Cleanup.  As such, we are committing 2% of our total revenue in June 2010, we also know that our waterproof cases can help protect valuable equipment

As a supplier of Waterproof Cases, we have waterproof covers, bag and cases for phones, vhf & uhf radios, cameras and more.  In this case to help the responders document and communicate from the clean up scenes without getting oil and contamination on to your vital equipment.

The challenge is that as clean up teams are trying to communicate in hazardous conditions, their phones and radios, if protected in a waterproof case, will work even if they get dunked in water, oil or sand. Many of the non-profits will have volunteers out there putting their personal equipment on the line – just looking for a way to help keep their equipment safe. Some of the VHF radios cost more than $1,500 – but could be saved from ruin by a $50 case.

As a small company we have set aside $1,000 in equipment donations to help.

UPDATE:
We are excited to have distributed more than $500 in products to the Audubon to help in their volunteer response effort.

  2. Hi Michelle!

Looking to find some nonprofits to benefit from your kind and generous offering, found http://www.tonic.com/article/how-you-can-volunteer-to-clean-up-the-gulf-coast-oil-spill/ which lists several nonprofits that are involved.
Sad to say that there will probably be thieves and scam artists out to make a profit from this mess, too.
Thankful to see compassionate acts of good and kind people, like yours.
    Take care.
